Increasing Rejection Rate of Research Manuscript

Abstract

Since the official accreditation of 16 local (Ethiopian) journals including the Ethiopian Journal of Social Sciences and Language Studies (EJSSLS) by MOSHE two years ago (December 2020), dozens of manuscripts are being submitted to the journal for possible publication. While this is a blessing on the one hand, as compared to a few manuscripts that used to be submitted before the journal’s accreditation, it is a challenge, on the other hand, with regards to managing the manuscripts timely. This editorial lists the experienced challenges and possible remedies.
